Detroit - The Arabian Way

Detroit Metro Area has influences of the Arabian culture in it. Be it the mouthwatering Arabian dishes, desserts or the lifestyle.

10 minutes of drive from the Midtown Detroit and you find yourself in an Arabian Land. 

The Grocery shops offers imported items all the way from the Arabian Peninsula.The shops and business have the bi-lingual hoardings.
The name of the shops written both in Arabic and English.

You will find dense population who came from the middle-east in the early 1970’s and settled in United States since then.

Also be prepared to spend some money in the high class restaurants offering their specials in dishes made from fresh meat.
Yes they can be a bit heavy on the pocket for sure.

But you might not find oink oink here, the Arabs dont have pork in their diets.

Visit the place during the time of the festivals and one would find friends and families celebrating “Eid” (An Arabic festive) around the whole city, with their barbeque plans and coffee gathering,

All this not in the homes but outdoors, the Arabian Way
